New Membership
- If you have served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged then you are eligible for membership with the American Legion.
- If you are still on active duty, you are eiligible for membership wtih the American Legion.
- Complete the American Legion Membership Form (fillable PDF). Applications are also available at the Post.
- Submit one copy to the post and keep one copy for your records.
- Dues payments are $40 and are accepted in-person via check or cash or via mail by check. Checks are payable to Alamo Post 2, The American Legion.
- If the information is correct, membership will be approved and a membership card will be mailed to you.
- In person: bring a copy to the Post and turn it in to a Post Officer, along wtih your dues payment. Provide a copy of your DD214 discharge with your social security number redacted. If you are still on active duty, print a copy of your most recent PCS orders.
- Mail: send a copy of the application, your dues payment (no cash!), and a copy of your DD214 discharge with your social security number redacted. If you are still on active duty, print a copy of your most recent PCS orders.
